I have been on MFP for about two months now. I have been doing pretty good with slips from time to time. I started out at 240 lbs.. I have lost 25lbs. since I've started!! My goal is to get to 170. I am nearing my first goal of 210 soon... Can't wait. I'm a stay at home Mom that loves my family to pieces!!! I love cooking it has been a favorite hobby of mine for as long as I can remember, but now I am having to learn to cook a different way. I love the challenge and know I can do it but would like to have some friends that I can get ideas from.. not only with cooking but also exercising and what we learn along the way. What foods are better for us and such. Love seeing peoples ideas on weight loss and what has worked for them. I have a long ways to go still and know it would be a lot easier with friends. :-) Good luck to you all and stay healthy!!

when I began in 1996 I weighed 250+ pounds and am now as of my last weigh in at 191 pounds. I did mini goals I find setting mini goals is a lot easier. I began walking first when I went to youth with a mission the food was really bad so me and another lady (when we didn't have to work the kitchen would walk 2 miles back in forth to get something good to eat. I didn't notice but when I went to Belarus I lost 80 pounds. I went up a little on the 80 pounds shot a size 22/24W then began to do couch potato to a 5 k in my 6th week I went from a size 22 to a size 18 regular. then the second one I went from an 18 regular to a size 16 where I am now. working my way to the finish. one thing that is helping me well two group are eat more to weigh less(i was undereating in my calories) phat girl bootcamp summer slimming series both on my fitness pal. the second one just started. Good luck to you
