REALLY in snack mode today. Ate some yummy snacks and was totally satisfied and that when it hit me....I'm really getting used to healthier eating.

My totally satisfying snacks: almonds (14) and celery sticks dipped in a wedge of Laughing cow light and creamy swiss and dipped in 1 Tbs of kalamata hummus and I drank ice water! Just under 150 calories and 3 net carbs.

No crazy cravings for Cheetos, Snickers and handfuls of Oreo cookies! I'm not perfect all the time, still like my Big Mac, no bun once a week, BACON!!!!! and a sometimes daily Diet Coke but it's a big improvement.

This from a person who used to snicker behind the backs of people who ordered veggie or turkey burgers and wouldn't drink anything that wasn't sweetened or carbonated!

Congratulations on your journey toward good health! I've been eating clean for about a decade, and finally crossed the rubicon last July and gave up meat entirely. But I don't preach it. Whether one eats meat or doesn't, you can still be healthy by limiting your meat to lean only and eliminating all processed crap from your diet.

    Good luck!!
