Should I exercise 4-5 times a week for 40 minutes, or exercise fewer days for longer intervals? I have been a member for 6 months now, lost a total of about 5 inches but only 4 pounds. I am still tweaking my diet, and trying to eat more calories, and it is a challenge to eat enough...still too many carbs. I started jogging 3 1/2 weeks ago, and can barely squeak out a 15 minute mile for 2 miles, and I am usually finished in 40 minutes. I just started weights, and I call it wimpy weights because I have never done them so I am starting slow. Any suggestions from you successful losers? I keep hoping my fat is covering some hidden growing muscles:laugh:

Recent studies indicate that the best cardio option is interval training. So.... a person who runs an hour straight at the same pace and a person who only runs 35 minutes but runs in intervals will burn the same amount. Intervals meaning slow pace 3 minutes then fast pace 3 minutes, something like that.
Combine that with Heavy lifting, add some muscle and you r good to go!0
