I'm waiting to have the money for book 3 right now and it's killing me! I hate Twilight and never do romance novels but I love it. All my friends are loving it too. The writing can be a bit redundant and the sex scenes could be skimmed down but I really love the story.

I've read all three. It's not a genre that I would usually go for but I wanted to read because of all the hype. I LOVE it! :) The first book, Fifty Shades Of Grey, had me enthralled and I couldn't put it down.

Books 2 and 3 do have some redundancy from time to time. But it's worth it.

I've been mentally casting the movie since I started. :)

Are you going to read it for the articulation or the porn? If for the articulation...there is none.

That's very much like Twilight with articulation as well. But people love those books. I'm not one of them, I tried, but I couldn't do it.

I read it in it's original form of Twilight fan fiction

This. And I'm not interested in trying out the new version. If she had to clean it up to mass produce, it's not worth the time. I loved my MOTU filthy :]

I read all three. I NEVER thought I would skim the sex portions of a book but these books definitely got me to that point. By the third you start "yada, yada, yada" through the sex. Should have been 1 sexy book and been done with it.

I just started the 2nd book. In my opinion, they are not as good as what everyone worked them up to be. They are good...but was expecting a little better. I heard that the 2nd and 3rd books are better than the first so I am hoping. :)

I read all three. Although the porn-y parts were a little repetitive, I liked it. I don't agree that it is like Twilight, I hate the Twilight series (only watch the movies to drool over the guys).

Lol. It started as Twilight fan fiction. The characters were originally called "Bella" and "Edward" and she changed it when it started to gain popularity.

It's not that it is "like" Twilight. It was written as Twilight Fan Fiction. The author wrote it as an alternative to Edward being a vampire. Made him a rich sadist and changed the names.

I liked the first one. Only liked the 2nd half of the 2nd & didnt finish the 3rd. I love romance novels but this was just sex. I didnt feel like it really had a story & didnt care so much for the characters. It should have a nice balance of both. As a HIV test councelor & health educator who has to know a lot about different types of sex, theirs wasnt that kinky at all. I've heard seen & heard worse.

If you've got a Passion Parties rep in your area, many are doing "Shades of Summer" parties. Myself included. People are loving the NDA they have to sign and the requirement to bring a grey tie to the party. And yes, the industry has seen a bit of a spike. :)

I have just finished the first book. I would say well worth a read, though personally was expecting it to be more explicit than it was (only due to peoples shock reviews ) I think the last couple of "scenes" in the book are worth waiting for and very erotic. I started the second book straight away (so that must say a lot, as a busy working and studying mum haha) It picks up from where the first one left off, which is appealing and addictive.

I agree the story line is not like twilight (which i wouldn't have minded as I do like twilight) but the calling to a woman is the same Dangerous, erotic powerful man, younger naive woman. New experiences, protection and the looking after of the girl!

All in all read the book!! haha

Read some because of the hype, threw the book away mid way.

With all of the incredibly good erotica out there, I'm ashamed that this is what is getting the most attention.
