Hi!

Hello! I stumbled upon this site quite by accident.....I googled a question about my toes going numb, read many answers with a cool weight loss tracker under their names....turns out I had stumbled upon answers in this forum. :)

I believe this would be a useful tool for myself. I very seriously need to lose 40 lbs, minimum. I very much enjoy running and racing with my family. And on top of the health benefits of being at a good weight, I'd like to enjoy participating in my hobby more comfortably!

Thanks!

    Welcome aboard.
    Feel free to add me.

My name is Nicola, I'm 36 and I live in Lanzarote, we moved
here 'cause we only get about 6 days of rain a year.

I love being outside but want the body to take advantage of it.

I hate running but I do love going to the gym but I'm forcing
myself to have a go at the C25K programme and it's not horrible
    so far.

    I'm 27lbs lost with a goal of 68. I'm LOVING MFP.

    Good luck
  • hello lanzaroteblue!
be warned, c25k is precisely how i began my running! i could NOT RUN the whole :60 seconds when i first started....now i've run as far as 25K. once you get that first 5k under your belt your'e bound to be addicted. nothing quite like a race environment. i can barely finish a race without crying from pure joy! (or is that delirium)? ha!

I will add you if I can figure this out.....

It's difficult to imagine running a 5K never mind 25K.
I'm finding week 3 a challenge (but today it was as much to
do with the heat as anything else...

    Welcome!!
  • Please forgive as I'm not exactly savvy in this message board arena..... so THANKS! for the welcome. :) I'm finding it hard to think of anything to say on this website...in regards to weight loss struggles I think I've said and read it all. however, retreating into being a hermit hasn't helped me much....so i'm struggling, here, to try and communicate. To be present and accountable for all of it. I do thank you two for responding to my "introduce yourself' post. I want to hear more about your stories! :)
