Diet & Exercise but no weight loss?

So for the past 8 or so days, I've been eating under 1500 calories every day and working out for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours every day, but I haven't lost any weight. If anything, I've actually gained 2 pounds.

Every day, I run a mile on the treadmill, do 45 minutes of pilates, do either Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred or Calorie Burn Bootcamp work out DVD, then I power walk for a mile on the treadmill, then I spend 15 minutes doing bicep curls, chest flies and crunches.

I've cut out things like soda and other sweet stuff from my diet, so I don't understand why I'm not getting any results.

Any ideas?

If you're not taking a rest day, the increase is mostly likely caused by water rentention in the muscles. Especially if you aren't used to that much exercise. I always weigh more the day after a high burn or crazy workout.

And as a side note.....that's not enough food for that much exercise. Search "eat more, weigh less".

    Good luck!

Are those 1500 calories .... net calories (Food eaten minus exercise calories)?

If the 1500 calories are net ........ how are you calculating exercise calories? Machines & MFP numbers are waay high. Use a heart rate monitor for more accurate numbers ... OR eat a percentage of your exercise calories.

Also, are you measuring (or weighing) your portions?

Stressed muscles tend to hold more water ..... keep pushing fluids and lower your sodium intake when you can.

Weight loss takes time. You have only been doing it for 8 days.

You need to consistently eat right and exercise in order to see results. Be patient.
