I wanted to post a few things that helped me lose 11 pound so far (in a month) the healthy way!
-Drink plenty of water! It helps with flushing out the bad stuff and reduces the appearance of cellulite.
-Try and get at least 30 minutes of exercise daily (3-4 times a week).
-Remember that 1-2 pounds a week is healthy, and less that that doesn't mean you arent getting there!
-Muscle weigs more than fat
-Every pound of muscle you have increases your metabolism and ability to burn fat
-Weight training will not make you bulky looking (women!)
-Do something you love! Don't run if you hate it! I do kickboxing (my new addiction) and its so fun I forget i'm burning calories!
-Push yourself. Don't just walk on the tredmill for 30 minutes on a flat surface, switch it up with intervals and hills!
-Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet, but be careful of the sugar content in fruits
-Don't eat less than 1,200 calories a day! Its bad for your metabolism
-Drink green tea. It is a natural source of caffine and is a good antioxident. Plus it is said to increase metabolism and help cholesterol
-Have a support system! Tell your family and friends about your progress so that they can help and encourage you to keep going.
-Just because you don't have the right equipment, doesnt mean you cant do bodyweight exercises. Google it!
-Reward yourself when you reach your goals, but not with food!
-Find healthy new recipies to try, and subsitute high fat foods for lower fat options. I use pintrest to find recipies!
-Find your motivation. Find something that you used to be able to fit into (realistically), and hang it in your room so you can visually see what you want to fit into, or hang pictures and quotes to keep you going.
-If you have a craving for something sweet, its probably because you havent had enough fruits in your diet! I slice an apple and sprinkle cinnamon on it! Tastes almost as good as an apple pie!
