Needed: New DSL service (Northern CA)

In short, my long-time provider screwed me by suggesting I upgrade 5 months ago when I moved. I agreed, and then was slapped today with a $143 fee because I terminated the original contract early. Obviously, had I been made aware that this was going to happen, I would have kept my original service. After speaking to a supervisor, I was informed that although I upgraded, I still terminated my contract and there was nothing they could do. Obviously, I no longer wish to give these people any more of my money. Any suggestions of other providers that you've had luck with??
