Reading forum topics. Now I'm confusrd about TDEe?

Greatsfter reading as many posts as I can I've gone and confused myself all over again:-/

I have 60lbs to lose to be considered borderline overweight.

If my bmr is 1600 and my average daily burn is 2100 with no exercise.
To achieve a 800 calorie deficit can I burn 400 calories via exercise daily and eat 400 calories less (making it 1600)?

And what about the tdee calculators that include exercise? If
Mine says 2500 with exercise 3-5 times a week how much than should I be eating? 2100 as it already includes my exercise?

I think if you are burning 2100 calories on the days you don't exercise, then you can eat 1700 and exercise off 400 to create an 800 calorie/day deficit. But you'd have to exercise 7 days a week, not 3-5, to have that high a deficit every day.

If you're burning 2500 every day of the week and you eat 2100, that's a 400 calorie/deficit per day. If you want to lose less than a pound a week and that burn level sounds realistic to you, go ahead and shoot for eating 2100. Or if you want an 800/day deficit, shoot for 1700.

There is no level you HAVE TO eat. It's up to you. You will probably be pretty uncomfortable under 1200, though.
