Hi everyone I am new to My fitness pal. A friend of mine go me into this and I am slowly getting the hang of it. I am active duty and am looking to lose about 30 lbs. I am athletic, play a lot of softball and like to do almost anything outdoors. I feel that over the past few years I have not stayed in shape, at least not to my standards. I will take any tips people give out and am just looking to keep my motivation up.

Hello this is a good start as you can use this site to enter your entries in with detailed calorie intake etc. I use it as a guide to help me see what I can eat how much is in what etc etc. One good thing to remember when you enter in your excercise it gives you extra calories however its not recommended that you give in to that and eat more stay within your calorie intake.

    Hello,
First off thank you for serving our country, it is not an easy job! My husband is active duty serving in Fort Bragg currently. She is right this sight is a great place to keep on track. I am trying to lose around the same amount you are. Judging by your profile picture you have a Boxer? I have a Boxer named Hercules and love him to death :)

I am the same way about Hercules! I got him last summer and I have no idea how I lived without him, they are just the sweetest dogs! My daughter is 20 months old and she bugs the crap out of him, but he never bites, growls or anything. Such a sweetheart lol.
