Your thoughts on Gum

Hello, my name is Dianne and I am a gum chewer-aholic..... Just curious as to whether you guys log your gum in your food or no. I guess to be completely precise I probably should, but I haven't. I chew the Orbit Sweetmint, which is sugar free, however, gum is not a natural food item so therefore is not "good" for my body. Opinions and theories would be greatly appreciated. Do you think it's a big deal? Not such a big deal? Don't give a rats *kitten*, or what. Thanks!

Hey there Dianne! I love me some Orbit gum!! I don't log it, what is it, like less than 1 gram of carbs a stick? I figure it saves me a ton of calories just because it keeps my mouth preoccupied (here it comes!). If it's not time for a meal or snack, I chew gum, it keeps the urge to eat at bay.0

It's fine.0

I'd be afraid to log in a pack of gun a day... People might think I'm crazy.0

As long as its sugar free! I heard that other gums have the chemical sugars. Not sure if its aspartame or what.0

I'm known to all of my friends and family as the gum lady! If you want a piece I ALWAYS have some.
I'm a serial gum chewer for sure however it's always sugar free and I never log it.0 -
I have never logged a piece of gum-and I chew quite a bit. As for it not being healthy-well-once my third eye starts growing I'll worry about it then. Until then, I shall chew happily.0

It's almost impossible to find gum without sucralose or aspartame in the grocery store or gas stations now. Even "normal" non sugar free gum made for little kids now has the "chemical" sugars you are referring to and that is what is in "sugar-free" gum as well.0 -
I go through a pack a day sometimes because it helps to curb binging, I always log it. I have to limit myself to only a few days a week though because it is quite addictive!0

Thanks so much for the feedback guys, it made me feel a lot better! I was just wondering how the other chronic gum a holics managed.0

It belongs in my mouth.0 -
Most ppl think "sugarfree" means exactly that....BUT...it usually means "hidden sugar".
I use Spry cinnamon gum. Uses Xylitol as a sweetener.0 -
I chew gum and never log it.. Glad I'm not alone..0

I chew Orbit Bubblemint all day long at work (for some reason, never at home now that I think about it).
It has never occurred to me to log my gum and I lose just fine so I think it is so minimal, it won't make much difference. And you probably burn some cals by chewing...just kidding.0 -
it depends on what gum i am chewing but omg .. i love my gum.. i can't seem to work out with out it.. i have it in every purse car.. desk at work....0

I chew gum all day every day and I never log it. I figure I'm easily burning those 5 calories per stick just by chewing it for so long :happy:0
