Is the Precor and the Elliptical the same thing?

My opinion is... the Precor is the brand name and the Elliptical is the type of equipment that comes in different models (those with and without the arm motion pieces).

Yes. It is like calling a lift truck a "Hyster" --people do it, but lift truck is what it is, "Hyster" is a brand name.
