What cardiovascular or muscular exercises are great for weight loss? I'm pretty set on the elliptical because it looses calories fast but it doesnt hurt anymore, I'm pretty use to it. I'm not big on running. Would running be better? I'm also starting to do better on the stair climber. What exercises do you do? and how much?

All of them.
Running, jogging, swimming, hiking, walking, pocket pool...
Moving is exercise. Creating calorie deficits is what you want to do.
If your sole goal is the number on the scale, then you should primarily worry about time.
You can walk for an hour, or do elliptical for 45 minutes, or boxing for 30 minutes and burn the same calories.
Personally, I love cycling, boxing, and weight lifting.
The cycling gets my steady cardio/endurance going. Plus I love being outside.
Boxing is excellent for coordination and the conditioning gives you a real 'all over' wellness.
Weight lifting is great because muscle is good for your body in so many ways, and weight lifting will help you retain more of them while gaining strength which reduces your chances of injury! The caveat with lifting is that it makes you retain water like whoa0
