Tattoos/Piercings

So I know for a fact a ton of people have tattoos and piercings, including myself. And I've heard mixed ratings about them, how some men find women with tattoos/piercings aren't attractive and vice versa. What is your opinion and are you attracted to them?

I agree with both of you. I couldn't do the whole body being covered in tattoos, creeps me out a bit actually. So far I have two, but I plan on getting a few more, eventually.0

I am attracted to a person, not to their tattoos and piercings.... I am not attracted by tattoos or piercings...
If it suits a person, fine, if I think it's rubbish art work - still fine, I am not the one who has to wear it. I have to admit that I am slightly annoyed bu those that wear a tattoo without any meaning, simply for the sake of having one...because it is so cool (and you can laser it away, can't you, hey?) Dude, seriously...
In general, tats and piercings can be sexy, if they fit the personality... or look ridiculous, if there isn't any personality at all0 -

I agree with you completely! Both of mine have special meanings behind them and I absolutely love them. I hate the fact people get tattoos just to say they have one or they "just liked the design".0 -
I'm not bothered by those who have tattoos with no meaning. Some people get a tattoo of a Star Wars character because they like star wars. Some people get intricate designs that mean something to them. Who's to say who's right or wrong? Why does it bother you that people appreciate the art and history of tattoos? Because that's what it really boils down to. You really think all the historic Sailor Jerry tattoos you see in flash books everywhere have a meaning other than "I think this tattoo is badass" or "I like this style/design"? That person who got a design just because they liked it loves their tattoo as much as you like yours.
There is nothing wrong with appreciating tattoos as an art form in itself, because that's what it is. That style of tattoo (pretty much anything that isn't maori) started as an art form, and people treat it as such. Its okay to be all about the aesthetics of a design.0 -
I like piercings and tattoos on women and find it cool! Usually I comment on their tattoo or piercing and start a conversation. But then again I have 3 piercings myself (2 on each lob and a cartilage piercing).0

Really, I find that attitude a little strange. I don't see why other people's reasons for their artwork should have anything to do with you.I agree with you completely! I've got a good few piercings, with more to come, and I'm getting my first tattoo soon, I love them on other people!

I have six piercings and I'm getting my seventh on Thursday. I love them because it's something that a lot of my friends and I do together and I think it's amazing how so many people can express their individuality through different types of piercings. That being said, I'm not a big fan of ear-stretching or septum piercings or people with piercings covering every inch of their ears/faces, only because I don't find those attractive. I still appreciate those ways of expressing individuality.
I love tattoos too, but I don't have any myself. I may be getting my first one this summer 0 -
For me tattoos are good but piercing are not because every time I see one I think of metal going through skin.0

tattoos on either sex are hot and you won't convince me otherwise but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't be interested in someone that didn't have any. I like them but it's not a requirement.
I like piercings in some areas, others, not so much but the same thing as the tattoos, its neither required nor a turn off.0 -

If you like them, fine. If not, fine. It's all good with me. I have over a dozen tattoos and have plans for a dozen more.0

Coming from someone with 20+ hours of tattoo work and over 10 piercings:
Personally, girls with body mods are beautiful to me, it's a plus, it's not necessary .. I'm not attracted to their modifications. Same feeling that I'm not interested in a girl that likes me solely for my body mods.0 -
Ive got 7 tattoos but no piercings, took my belly button one out prebabies. I luurve a guy with tattoos - but it's not essential! I do have a thing about roger (jwoww's boo) on jersey shore.0

i love tattoos! Good ones at least. I don't have any yet but have plans for one. My husband absolutely loathes them so I am torn over getting one. I know he would get over it but it's hard to go and make such a permantent change to my body when I know my significant other finds it unattractive. He has zero expectations about my physical appearance, he is such a laid back guy, but he just has to hate the one thing that i LOVE! LOL!0 -

I like them, and am not fussed on if they have them or not. As long as they dont look like crap.
My fiance finds tattoos sexy, and wants me to get more. I dunno.0 -
