Ahh shin splints!!.. who knows a good way to get rid of them?! I've had them continuously since I started up at the gym last week again, and I can't seem to get rid of them. I stretch (well, afterwards) and they're still around. Last night they were hurting so bad, they were making me nauseous. I'm getting them from running, but I don't know how to get around them and still be able to do so.. help!

It's best to take it easy. Look at it as a "cross training opportunity". Shin splints can be caused by a few different things, but the ones that i had were stress fractures in my shin bones, and it was from running. It went away in time, but proper nutrition aside, i don't think there is a way to make them heal faster.0
