Unfortunately I'm not in a position to recommend a solution to your predicament but my daughter would be if she were a member of this site.
You've probably taken the first positive step by joining MFP and starting your daily food diary in that way you'll have a better idea about what you eat and how good or bad it can be for you. An exercise tool that many people use (my wife, daughter and I have as well) is the exercise ball it has done wonders for our waists, lower back and obliques.
My daughter found the ball along with free weights and her treadmill the things that have worked best for her after her C-Section 2 years ago.

My first birth was a c -section and that was 9 years ago. I still have a hard time doing anything abdominal.....I do 50-100 stability ball crnches a day and still have issues.....you will find something that works for you!:happy:
