I bought a sportsline duo 1010 and its ok. Bought it for about $70 but wish I would've gotten a better one. This one comes with the chest strap so it reads continuosly but also have ability to just touch the screan to get a quick reading. However if you sweat on it or any part of your body touches the screen it wants to stop reading the strap and looks for the quick touch.

Just make sure you go online and read reviews of any HRM you are looking to get. When mine started to act up I went to see if I was doing something wrong with it and I found so many reviews complaining about the same thing. Wish I would've read them sooner.

If you want the fitness assessment feature then you are going to have to spend more then 100 dollars.

When I bought my first HRM I had a Polar FT7( a Step up from the FT4) and it was fine for estimating calories burned.. I lost the bulk of my weight by using the FT7 actually.

Now I have a Polar FT60, which has the fitness assessment and a GPS option.. and it's very nice. I got mine on Amazon in January for 115, but now I think it retails for 135 shipped.
