Excited but Nervous

Hello..I'm new here, I just really started using the site on Monday of last week. My short term goal right now is to lose, 30 pounds, I 'm really nervous about it, I have family and friends telling me that I already show the signs losing quite a bit of weight, but I look in the mirror and I see nothing!!! So...I'm gonna stay away from the scale, track my meals on my fitness plan and daily excercise!!!

    Welcome! Don't forget to take your measurements as well. As you exercise, you may actually gain weight since muscle is heavier than fat. Your measurements will show your true progress! I find it really helpful that we can track any measurements on this site and compare them to an earlier date. I had only lost 2 lbs, but I lost a half inch across all measurements! I wasn't pleased with the 2 lbs, but the half inch was encouraging. I was feeling a bit more comfortable in my clothes and it proved it wasn't in my head! LOL.

    Hello,
    I just started iJuly 20. So far I've lost 7 lbs 2 inches. My goal is to lose 40 lbs. I carry my weigh very well so when I tell people how much I weigh they are very surprised. I 'm confident that you can do it. Just keep track of your calories and remember to exercise.

  • I have not weighed myself since July 1st, but I did however measure my waist today!!! I have lost 2 1/2 inches around my waist...I am so excited!!!
