upper abs stick out...really weird

So I have hit my goal weight and am finally happy with my stomach, but I noticed that my upper abs stick out over my lower abs....they aren't defined too much into "packs" it just looks like 1 big ab...kinda weird...and I dont know how to either tone it up more or flatten it. Any ideas? When I drink alot of water it puffs out and then my stomach looks like it's made of 2 parts with a crease in the middle.

Are you male or female? The upper part of my stomach sticks out, but thats because of my ribs...they seem to be way to large for my body for some reason & stick out awkwardly...So is it actually your ab muscles sticking out or just your ribs? I ask that because my ribs kinda just make something that looks like 1 big ab, as you stated. Lol.0

Im a female. I dont think it's my ribs although they do stick out strangely a little....i guess it's just the way they are because I am eating a proper amount, but this "ab" results in a crease above my belly button.0

I can only assume that your upper abs are much more developed than your lower ones. Maybe you've tended to do activities that work the upper more than the lower and they are larger. If you are really bothered by it, just work the lower ones with heavier weights. Don't go overboard, because I read that overworking the abs with volume makes them smaller than larger and you want to even them out with the upper part of your abs.
Or.... your genetics simply chose to do that.Embrace those differences!!!

I used to be a dancer and we did alot of crunches...im not sure if that contributed to just the upper abs developing. But what specific exercises would be good for my lower abs?0
