I started on July 20. I'm excited to finally start taking control over my weight after being over weight for 17 years. I prayed and asked God to give me a plan to help me control my eating habits and so far he has. I have my moments but I remember that counting calories and exercise is the key to controlling your weight even if you just walk for 20 minutes.

    Hello and welcome! I stumble on this site by accident (Praise God) on July 11th. I started my weight loss journey Jan 29th. MFP has definitely helped with food journaling and lots of people to encourage you!:flowerforyou: God bless! :flowerforyou:

    You're definitely in a mighty big club! Hope you have a good motivation to change your life. I gave up most sugars and carbs. This is a life long change. I expect to be using MFP for a longgg time! I want to always keep myself accountable to remind me what the junk calories did to my body.:noway: I am so much happier and feeling better than 42 lbs ago.
