weight/body fat = healthy?

http://www.ideafit.com/fitness-library/growing-problem-obesity-0 - after reading this and other articles alike, i think i am a firm believer that if you ate healthy and exercised right, you would naturally loose weight. now of course we are something like 70% genetically predisposed to our weight and height. so it may take some folks more work than others to loose say 5kgs/10lbs. for myelf, i feel that having a tummy bigger, rounder and more protruded than my boobs is ... a problem. so that is my view. and then i had a really interesting conversation with someone who seem to believe that, with research backing her belief, weight/body fat does NOT correlate to health. she read this and articles alike. http://danceswithfat.wordpress.com/2012/04/22/no-such-thing-as-a-healthy-weight/
i have a problem with this. i think that if i am living on brown rice and vegetables and doing 4 exercise routines a day that i will be automatically healthy = nautral weight loss. i dont know too many people with the same height as me who weigh 100kgs or more who can out run me... i think that 2 people with the same height, say 5'6, one weighing 65kgs, and the other weighing 100, would be vastly different!
can someone enlighten me abit about this person's views? she is either in denial of her "fatness" or she's really on to something?! of course, someone with a heroin addiction will be thin, but not necessarily healthy. and someone who is slightly overweight may not be unhealthy. but... seriously?! someone who is round and has a big belly that is obviously protruded, i would imagine, will have health issues...
what do you think? i am confused... O_o
