SCARED to gain weight using whey protein in my diet...

Basically, THIS the subject! ^
Right now I have a Protein shake for breakfast and or right after doin my Insanity workout.
I make mine in smoothies with fruits and spinach.
Ne ways, I also started to use my protein powder creatively in the Kitchen into other meals and snack ideas, that I have learned off of MFP & other websites.
The only thing is, I'm scared to "BULK" the more I drink or eat them in my foods.
CAN THIS HAPPEN?!!
I workout 6days a wk doin Insanity and sometimes I do out doors jogging. I'm not really sure how many calories I burn cuz I don't own a HRM but I go on the lowest average I can find of like a 180-300cal burn.
I changed my diet to 1800 per day to see if that works, cuz Insanity says to eat around 1900 max for my size.
SO HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH PROTEIN? Cuz its my understanding that GUYS who want to BULK use protein shakes to do that and I don't want to BULK! Ive already gained alot of muscle tone but literally have not lost ne actual fat off my body just yet
Im 5'2 my starting weight 5 months ago was 140 and today Im barely 137 and my goal weight is to be 125

Count the calories in your whey protein. Stay under or at your daily intake of calories and you will not gain weight.

It's as simple as this. Protein shakes alone will not make you bulk up or gain weight. I take protein shakes to supplement my protein intake and for the amino acids post workout. I have yet to gain even in maintence mode.0 -
Guys use protein shakes to bulk because sufficient protein aids in muscle repair. These guys are also doing a lot of heavy weight lifting no doubt to help muscle growth, and eating enough CALORIES to gain weight. Protein is just one piece of the puzzle, without the others, it really means not very much!
Protein has many benefits, not only will it help to build or retain your muscle mass, but it will help you feel fuller for longer. Also, when I say build muscle, building muscle for women is extremely hard, especially if you are eating in a deficit to lose weight. Any that you may possibly gain from working out is unlikely to be very much. Women (or men for that matter) but women especially, who have lots of muscle bulk, have worked for a very long time to get that, it doesn't happen overnight.
Basically, you have nothing to worry about, keep drinking those protein shakes, especially if you don't get enough through food.0 -
Ok, So I happen to over indulge in junk food very easily, and I will start my day out perfectly diet wise then boom I mess up and by the night im over like 100-400calories and then that would MAKE ME GAIN WEIGHT? Right, while consuming my daily protein in supplement form? All I can do it TRY to not keep doin that.

and I also have one I bought by Jillian Michaels (that I dont like & will never buy again, once finished) Tripple Chocolate.0 -

Right. It's not the protein shakes that will make you gain; it's the over indulgence in junk causing you to be above your goal that can make you gain. Find the culprit of the real reason you may gain weight and fix that, not place blame on something else.0 -
If you ate only apples in excess of your TDEE you are going to gain weight.
If you ate only chocolate in excess of your TDEE you are going to gain weight.
If you ate only dog food in excess of your TDEE you are going to gain weight.
The shakes are not going to necessarily make you gain weight, unless...0 -

FOR ME! Its the complete opposite I have already gained an inch in muscle. And right now it looks as tho my arms are gettin bigger aka BULKING. Cuz my family even notices like damn ur gettin buff. And it would be a great compliment if that was my goal but that's just it, I want to lose FAT not get buff.
My body builds muscle tone easy. But no FAT loss has happened yet I still keep goin tho!0 -

Yeah that will lead to a massive weight gain. One day I ate carbs before bed and i woke up obese.

Drink some lemon juice and cayenne pepper first thing in the morning, the fat will literally fall off of you. Onto the floor. Dispose of it in a biohazard bag.0 -
