how do you add your recipes into your recipes?

Bump! I need to know too..0

You create a new food, I took the whole recipe and entered by each ingredient which gave me my total calories. Your recipe usually tells you how many people or how many cups....If it makes 6 cups and I use only two I dial it to 1/4 serving or serving for 2. Hope that helps.0

I just wish you didn't have to use servings only...Sometimes depending on what you make, it's frustrating trying to figure out how many servings there will be:grumble:
At least that's all I've been able to use....0 -
I know how to create a recipe. What I'm wanting to do is use a recipe I've already made and add it to another recipe.
Like I make my own Marinara sauce so I have a recipe already made for that.
Now I'm making a Veggie Lasagna and want to use the Marinara Sauce I've already made in my lasagna.
Is there a way to do that?0 -

I know what you mean - but I don't think there is a way to do it. If there is, I'd love to know too.
(I suppose you could add a new food to the database and call it Sammy's Marinara for example - but I'm reluctant to add yet more items to the database that won't be useful for anyone else, it is already so full of duplicates and miscellanous entries).0 -
Thats what I just ended up doing! And thats exactly what I called it too!
it sucks that I had to add another one tho.0 -

exactly!! i thought by adding it to the database (available for everyone) that I could then use it as a base for another recipe. but i don't see it there/
I make almost everything from scratch, but certain things (mayo, pesto, hollandaise) I make more of than I need so I can use them in other things.0 -

Actually, you probably didn't include it in the database, because I can't find it. So you're not bloating the database by adding your own recipe, unless you check the box to add to the database.0 -

but I DID add it to the database, and I still can't find it. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.0 -
Well, I did it and was able to add it to the new recipe I was making. But now totally gone! WTF??? It was there earlier and its still in the lasagna recipe I made but now I can't find it anywhere. =/ I dont get it.0
