Nearly 8 months ago I signed up for this event in London and Have worked hard to get fit for it I have also been sponsored for nearly £800 then yesterday 2 weeks before the event I receive an e-mail from Red Frog Events to say it is cancelled, no apology no explanation.

They have done the same with the other UK event which was planned for the north 1 week later

Now they are not responding to e-mails, twitter or any other form of communication the only contact number is in the US which is of little help for me as I am UK based...

I know they had not sold out all their places but many of the waves were sold out so all I can guess was the profit was not enough but to cancel so so close to the event has to be wrong I know loads of people who were doing it for charity so like me feel really let down...

Lets see how long it take to get my money back – if at all

Now to find another target to aim for......

Hi Lucy - sorry to hear about your WD experience. We run an off-road, obstacle based event in the Midlands (near Leamington Spa - 1.5hrs from London) called the Wolf Run. The next one is in September (22nd). It's a 10k as opposed to a 5k, and is 'wild running' - lots of natural obstacles in the form of fallen trees, water, mud, climbing, jumping etc. - very good fun and very friendly! We have all levels of fitness competing and encourage on-course camaraderie and helping each other, which means a great atmosphere. If you think you'd like to give it a go, I'd be very happy to arrange a place for you FOC, particularly as you've raised such a fab amount in sponsorship. Bring the motivation back! Just email me at karen@thewolfrun.com.

Well, that just sucks, doesn't it. Hopefully you'll be able to find something else to give you an awesome goal.

That being said, bravisimo to you for having a goal in the first place and working so hard to get there.

    You rock! :glasses:
