DH went fishing so now I have yellow bellied sunfish to cook up. He can't eat them - allergic - so all 31 of them is mine to do as I please. They are not big fish......I guess they are called "pan" fish. Normally I would deep fry them but..............
So any ideas guys?

You can bake them or grill them whole. Just take out the belly guts first.0

YUM!This Alaska girl loves fresh fish! There are endless ideas:
-George Foreman grill is always quick and easy. Love using tons of natural herbs, garlic and onion powder(not salt), pepper, Mrs Dash, etc
-Outdoor grill is great too, but can be messy
-Bake it!!
Make fish tacos using the low carb or wheat shells and stuff with fresh sauteed veggies and add a low fat shredded cheese and lettuce
Also, you can add yummy vegs such as steamed fresh brocc-not frozen and a nice side salad. Here is a youtube blog for lots of great salads: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wr6s3xMZALQ&NR=1&feature=endscreen
Have fun! Lots of variety and they can be quick and easy!

If they are big enough to grill do that. Coat them with a little bit of butter, lemon, and dill before you toss them on, and they'll get a little brown coating. Just just a tiny bit of butter though, and you won't rack up the calories.0 -
at our market they sell parchment bags, they work great. Put the fish and some of you freshest herbs, little lemon and some brown rice in there and maybe onion and peppers if you like that. put it in the oven for about 45 min at 375 and YUM. That is my suggestion.0

Smallest one is about 5 inches long and most are 2 to 3 inches wide and about inch thick. Is that big enough to grill?0 -

It's a little narrow. What you can do is put aluminum foil on your grill grates to help keep the fish from falling between the grates then spray with Pam Grilling spray to keep them from sticking. That stuff is amazing.
All you want to do is just lightly sear each side then move the fish away from the flames and into indirect heat on the grill to finish cooking. It's not hard at all, and will taste amazing.0 -

This! Or you can use some of Chef Prudhomme's Seafood Magic seasoning on it with the lemon.0 -

No problem! Let me know how it turns out for you0 -
I have fish about every other day for dinner. I fry them in butter on my indoor grill with nothing more than salt and pepper most times, but I also like garlic powder or lemon pepper seasoning. The butter gives them a nice brown color and crispiness to the thinner edges. It only takes a few minutes at medium-high heat and it's super delicious and healthy. Have fun!0

put some olive oil, 1/2 lime juice and crushed or chopped garlics in a cast iron frying pan, and then lay the fish in it, squeeze 1/2 lime juice over the top
add seasoning, salt, black pepper, chilli flakes or whatever
cover and let marinate at leasr 1 hour - fry [6 minutes approx.] each side0 -
