Okay so I started my journey 42 weeks ago @ 268lbs I and now 190.2 lbs I was a size 18/20 jean now I am a 9 was a size 18/20 dress now a 10 my question is according to my healthy BMI at heaviest I can be 165...I got down to 177 about 2 months or so ago and then let stress of raising 3 kids on my own while my hubby was out to see get the best of me and turned to emotional eating...well now that I'm back on track I want to get down to my original goal weight of 150lbs...I'm not comfortable at 190 and I wasn't comfortable at 177 but I also have never been this small!! The smallest I have ever been as an adult was a size 12...I just don't know when will be good enough to stop...some of my close friends desk that I won't know when and that this may become and issue as I have a so called addictive personality...idk I guess only time will tell and ideas on when enough is enough I am 5'7.5 with a large upper frame 34" waist 36 DD chest and I have thick thighs and my hip butt is 40"... I think a size 6 is enough but the weight in my mind has to be at the very highest 165...conflicted;(

BMI is a crap indication of health unless someone is super morbidly obese.
It doesn't take into account body type, muscle mass, or many other factors.
107lbs is still in the 'healthy' range for my height according to BMI. However when I used to weigh that, I was carrying a lot of muscle and my body fat % was really low, too low, and my periods stopped. Yet according to BMI, I was still healthy.
Go on your measurements and body fat %; they're a much more reliable indicator of health.0 -
I'm 5'7.5...yes my body fat % is still way to high I've calculated and around 150lbs it will be in a normal range0

So I just calculated and I'm in a normal body fat% 25.9% range but 29lbs overweight for my BMI...weird0

Forget BMI. It's just not an accurate tool in any way. Be concerned with Body Fat %. That is the best indicator of health.0 -
What does your doctor say? I went for the middle of my BMI and it feels right, but everyone is different. I also stopped at a plateau so maintenance would be easier. Good luck0

Haven't consulted my doctor yet but will make an appt and ask;) the way I figure it is if I'm a size 6 I have some wiggle room and I ain't go back into the double digits...0
