Took 8 days off-lets see if this helps my plateau!

OK I've taken 8 days off from my Zumba/kickboxing and about 10 days off from logging in MFP to see if I can get over this Plateau by eating more, excersising less and hoping this will kick my body back into weight loss mode when I start back tomorrow. Has this strategy helped anyone? I have only gained .5 lb and it's my TOM...so not worrying about that. I've been the same for over 6 weeks now and after trying different things, I've tried THIS thing. :-) Although I probably burned 300-500 daily calories extra yesterday and today because it was a NASCAR weekend and I'm all over the speedway.
