who believe's in ghost? Tell me your story.

I have had some personal experiences with the paranormal, and i would like to know if anyone out there may have had a similar experience. When I lived in my parent's house I was plagued with a spirit that wasn't very harmful, but did scare me . I got so scared that I was 20 and had to sleep with a night light. (hey it was a faint greenish light..ok) One night around 3 am, I had came back from the washroom , which was located across the hall from my room. I jumped back in bed and began to smooth out my sheets. My eyes were well adjusted and I could make out everything in my room. I wasn't very sleepy, so I just sat up in bed. Then I began to hear the footsteps that plagued my house every night. So this time I thought I would just keep my eyes open to see If i could see anything. The footsteps entered my room as usual, walked over to my bed; and I saw it push back covers and set on my bed. I was so scared that I pulled the covers over my head and slept like that the rest of the night.
This may not seem so scary, but I have more stories to share. This is only the shortest one. I am looking for some ppl to chat with about this debatable topic.

That's pretty freaky. I don't believe in them, but they could exist. If angels are present, I'm sure ghosts could be too, I guess.

I just can't wait to hear other stories.

I wish I was a ghost, I so would sneak up on people having sex and scare them. I would mess with people all the time.

Last year I lost my boyfriend Eric in an auto accident. Not long after that I started getting this weird feeling that would wake me up, like it felt like a cat walking on our bed...minus we didn't have a cat...the feeling was sooo real to me and I honestly thought I was going crazy. It happened for weeks in a row and I was too afraid to talk about it at first. I finally told my mother and she got the weirdest look on her face...she then reminded me that when Eric and I were at her house the last time he was teasing me about how much I babied my moms cat and he said that if he ever died he wanted to come back as a cat so I'd baby him just as much as I did my mom's cat.

For my 21st birthday my friend took me to the Myrtles Plantation in Louisiana, it's suppose to be one of the most haunted places in america. I'm going to keep a long story short. I heard a cat meow like it was right under my foot (there are no cats in the house but one died way back when), I was standing in one of the rooms, about 6 or 7 feet away from anyone, and felt a gentle tugging on my clothing (apparently it was one of the kids that died there wanting attention). One of the spirits tried to take my friends earings, the earing was hanging half out of her ear.

Very interesting account. I'd be absolutely terrified if I were in that situation.

I don't believe in ghosts the way I believe in gravity, but I definitely think there is a possibility that they exist. I do believe most 'supernatural' things have a rational explanation, but it's impossible to know for sure that ghosts DON'T exist, especially considering the huge amount of personal encounters that people report.

Most of my experiences have all been disproved by science. Doors opening and closing on their own can easily be chalked up to differences in air pressure between rooms. And then mysterious wet spots on clothes which we later discovered was because my cat was obsessively licking them. :laugh:

The closest thing I've ever experienced to a 'ghost' is feeling a gust of wind behind me exactly as if someone had run past me. I was home alone at the time, and it definitely freaked me out. Still haven't been able to explain this one yet.

Two personal experiences : In my last house I put all my kids to bed upstairs and a little while later all the lights upstairs started to come on one by one at first i figured it was my kids so I went up to check and they were all fast asleep. I turned off all the lights again and went back downstairs, it happened again. This time when I went up I remained upstairs in the dark and it happened again and I saw a shadow of a child running room to room. Did the background history of the house and a little boy died there about 50 years prior..
Another time I was on my way home from work it was seriously storming pouring down rain, thunder and lightening i was pulling across a intersection and on the corner was a little girl wearing what i assumed was her nightgown, I pulled over to see if she needed help i put down thre window and yelled are you Ok she said "Help my Mother" I turned around for a second and when I looked back she was gone, I looked all over. Again did history and a little girl and her Mother died in a house on that corner on a stormy night the house was hit by lightening and Mom got her two other children out in time but died when she went back in to get her 6 year old daughter...

I saw my grandpa, my Dads Dad, after he died, just looking thru my bedroom door. My door was cracked open, and I had this feeling like someone watching me. And then I looked up and, he was out there looking in, Then he turned to the side and walked away. Another time..........felt a swoosh behind my head, and breeze, and then someone saying my name. That scared the shiz out of me. Another time.......... After my Dad died, there was this night, I was in the bathroom, and the door closed by itself. And I was like, theres no possible way for that door to just close like that. I checked the windows, and they were shut, nothing could have shut that door. There was no breeze in the house. So I got really scared, and I thought I need to call my sister. So I called her. Got her voicemail... Left message. Told her I was scared, the door shut by itself. Maybe Dad was trying to tell me something. Call me when you get off work. Please call me. By 10 pm when my sister got off work, she called me crying because of a incident at the prison she works in. At the very same time, that the door shut, some shiz went down in the prison, and we think my Dad was telling me to call my sister. You need to call your sister, somethings wrong. And there was something wrong.

I know a girl whose house was built out of wood from a barn that a man hung himself in and is built on top of the old community cemetery. Their house is haunted by 7 spirits. 3 mean an elderly couple and a group of little girls . At any given time you can see any one of them. They have a field with horses that the ghost girls try to ride, and you can hear and see them jump as if they are trying to throw someone off. The elderly couple haunts her brother's room. And the bathroom, you can not take a shower upstairs without getting scratched. I mean deep scratches. No one sleeps upstairs anymore either. One night their dad woke upi screaming saying someone was trying to joke him. He had hand prints around his neck. There is also a shadow man ,which they cal lhim the jello man , due the fact that you can see through him. He floats through the walls ,is tall and of course all black. The other two men are mean, sooo mean. They poke scratch you and have been known to push you down the stairs. They had a priest come out and try to bless the house, he got all the way through the house and went to the field and said " I can not go out there because it is too evil, if I move any further they will kill me " And he left. Now my aunt did not believe her until she went out there one night. They were all sitting around the kitchen table listening to the owner's stories. My aunt said I do not believe this , and at that exact moment something pushed her head into the kitchen table. So needless to say she believed from then on.
