I recently ended an intense relationship. The breakup has been painful, but more painful than the breakup is the realization that if I'd felt more confident about myself, I probably would have had the strength to end things sooner. I need to work on valuing myself, on appreciating my own worth.

I gained about 35/40 lbs over the past 2 years (during a really challenging time in my life) and I've felt uncomfortable in my own skin since then. I need to prove to myself that I am capable of losing the weight -- I'm tired of playing the victim. Is it going to be hard? Yes. Especially yes because I usually turn to food when I'm stressed or unhappy.

This is important to me -- it's important for my health. It's important for my self-esteem. It's important for my level of confidence. It's important to be able to follow through. It's important to teach me discipline. I can do this.

Any and all support is appreciated. Fell free to friend request me :)
