Blood Type Diet

Just wondering if anybody on MFP is a follower of the “Eat Right For Your Blood Type”? I discovered it about two weeks ago and believe in the science behind this way of eating. And for months of not seeing the scale move – it’s started to finally move following the guidelines for my blood type. Who knew that for my blood type (AB) I should say away from beef, pork, and chicken. All that meat gets stored as fat in my system.
Blood type is an indicator of the amount of stomach acid we produce (essential for the digestion of meat), the compatibility of foods with our digestive and immune systems, and the release of certain hormones such as cortisol.
If you follow this way of eating - please feel free to send me a Friends Request.

Dr. Oz is a quack. He recommends whatever he is paid to recommend these days.
As for the diet, I do not believe there is any scientific basis for believing that certain people do better with certain diets on the basis of their blood groups.0 -
I just know my weight wasn't moving for months! And then I heard of this plan from a co-worker and now I'm down 5 pounds. It's because I gave up meat -- and I'm still eating the same amount of calories too. Meat is NOT good for AB blood types.

I was a vegetarian for 5 months until I read about this method of eating. Im type O which is the 'hunter' blood - oldest blood type known.
I need a lot of meat/protein and no carbs. so I switched from being a vegetarian! haha crazy how much better it makes me feel0 -
I looked my diet up...
I'm type B.
No chicken?!?!?! Can't do it.. I love my chicken.. :ohwell:0 -
I recently heard about this diet from my boyfriends uncle. He and his sister tried it out and she told me that she followed the diet to a T and she dropped 65 pounds. This was a couple years ago and I am not sure how long she was following the diet for. I am blood type AB and am curious to see if anyone is still doing this diet and their results.0

Not everybody loves Dr. Oz. I believe him to be a quack making millions of dollars off of people desperate to lose weight as he offers fad after fad after fad...
And I also believe the blood type diet to be one of them.0
