Has anyone experienced a painful ache in their left side of chest while exercising?
I do suffer from asthma so maybe it could be apart of it or because ive been inactive for so long. I was just trying out an exercise video and I got a shap pain....

When I get them I fold my arms over my head and stand as straight as possible until it passes. That should stretch out your rib cage and give your lungs more room for more oxygen capacity (at least that is how I remember my doctor explaining it several years ago). Whatever the reason, it does seem to work well for me.

It really could be a number of things. There are normal pains in workout out.
But if the pain is concerning and makes you unable to workout, I would see a doctor just to be safe.

Chest pain could be a lot of things, some of them serious so I agree with ^^that. Always better to be safe than sorry.

I am well aware of that. My post was asking if anyone else has had this same experience.
    Thanks anyway

It happens to me sometimes. It passes after a little while... it really freaks me out though.

No need to be rude to people that are trying to help.

Yes, it has happened to me and guess what....I went to the Dr. You shouldn't mess around with chest pain.
