For sliced, I'm a big fan of Sargento. For shredded 2%, either Kraft, Sargento or the store brand works. And I totally agree with you on non-fat cheese, it's like eating plastic!

I eat a portion of cheese pretty much everyday (25g) and will never give it up, I personally can't see why you'd want to cut it out if you enjoy it so much, it's really not that bad for you in small amounts.

Cheese is not really bad. It's just got a lot of calories. But I wouldn't give it up either. Just make it fit into your daily calorie goal.

That said, when I go to the store, I always see reduced fat types of all the major cheeses. To me they actually taste better because full-fat cheese is too rich for me.

I'm also known to be addicted to low-fat string cheese. Yummy!!!

Cheese doesn't seem to affect my weight. I tend to have some feta or stilton everyday. Not in large quantities, obviously, but I like a bit of cheese. Never used to, mind you. The fruit ones are my favourites.

I refuse to have anything off-limits, unless its mad made crap (Big Mac, etc...), and even then i'll have a burger once a while, cos' i do love my fries.

Anyway...cheese. English Stilton !!, as I get older...(no, i'm not old yet), i find that I like stronger cheese

I've heard parm or other hard cheeses can be lower in calories or fat or something than soft cheeses. I have no idea if that's true.

I used to be quite a cheese connoisseur but ended up gaining about 10-15 pounds over a two months due to cheese. I did not practice moderation.

I eat low fat string cheese a lot. Other than that, I eat full fat Feta and Goat Cheese with veggies and mushrooms all the time.

You don't have to eat low-fat. Just eat a little less and make sure it fits into your calories.

For sandwiches, I buy Land O Lakes 2% white american slices.... 90 cal for an ounce.... which is usually two slices. It's not my smoked gouda that I love, but if I want a cheeseburger or a turkey sandwich, it works.

Ever tried Cabot Cheese? They have a 50% reduced fat sharp cheddar. Wisconsin girl here, so I'm with ya on the cheese thing ;-) Try the Cabot. Only complaint from me on it is it's shelf life seems very short. I've only ever seen it in blocks.

Cheese is not bad in small amounts even on a daily bases. Why cut it out if you like it? Its high in calcium. I eat cheese almost every day and I dont think it effects my health or weight loss goals at all as long as I dont eat a ton of it

    I LOVE CHEESE!!!

I lurvveeeeeee cheese! I only like mild cheese though.

I have banned myself from buying cheese as i can easily eat a whole block of cheddar in one evening. I keep going to the fridge and slicing off big chunks at a time. I really can't limit myself :(
