50 pounds? Find something that is realistic for you. I'm 4'10" and 88 pounds. That is still skinny for me. I'm trying to expand my stomach, to gain weight that's comfortable for me and to do it in a healthy way. That's realistic. We all care about u here so go see a doctor.

Well and..I have taken measurements and my thighs range from 15-17 ):
They've been going up lately O_O
I just want to be happy with myself and actually believe that I'm not overweight like I think I am in my head!

Anybody who has thighs in the 15-17" range is thin. That is all.

    Go see your doc.

THIS!!! My legs are 20 inches and I'm told I have thin legs. I'm ok with my legs, it's my stomach that bugs me and it's almost gone no where near where I want it yet but closer then 2 years ago. Sounds like you have body image issues deeper then just on the surface. Good luck hon, I agree with the doctor.

I must be reading something wrong... but you aim to be 50lbs? Isn't that like... 24kgs? Even the average heighted extremely anorexic woman can't get below 35kgs.

My 8 year old sister weighs more than 25kgs o_O

I must be misreading something here.....

If you're not overweight but still think there's work to do then perhaps exercise/toning/fitness is for you - it's worth researching. If you're on facebook check out the images at "Fit Behaviour" - if you find them inspiring then there's your answer. Good luck :)

Then there is no measurement/chart/calculation that can help you. You can only find that within yourself, and a licensed therapist can help you get there. You can do it but just like actual weight loss, it will take work.

I also agree that strength training could help. You may find inner confidence in seeing just what your body is capable of doing.

Goal weight 50 pounds? No thank you.

I do, however, have a method for others to find this answer:

    Step 1: Sleep with me
Step 2: Check phone for a return call tomorrow

    Repeat.

Edit: I realize I am hijacking an ED thread. Screw it, they need to stop anyway.

looking at your profile pic...I don't think you need to lose any weight and if you are that unsure of yourself, why don't you try toning your body? You look pretty good. I wish I had your legs...my thighs rub together when I walk and there is no room in between them when I stand to see through them like your legs do

Not foolproof but looking at a BMI chart is a start.

I honestly think BMI is crap and I'm not going to go by some dumb CHART that doesn't know my body type.

why do you have your current and lowest BMI listed on your profile then?
