Any lawyers out there??

The house my husband and I live in used to be my father in laws(his childhood home). His name is still on our house and my mother in laws name was added to the deed AFTER I moved in. I keep telling my husband that I want there name taken off of the house. We (my husband and I) pay all of the bills. We put an addition on the house and took a mortgage out on the house in order to do it. We refinanced and I was so embarassed because we had to go to his parents house and they had to sign the papers as well. It angers me in a way that they have any rights to our house. If one of them were to die would we need to pay an inheritance tax on the house ?
