Training for 5k advice please!??

Question: I'm training for a 5k. I have 5 more months to train. So far all im capable of is 1 mile in 15 minutes. To go any further than that right now i feel weak & tired. Should i continue the mile for a few more weeks to get use to it to increase? And how many days a week should i run? Thanks for all the advice & help! :D
