New Rules of Lifting for Women

I just bought the book yesterday and did the first workout in stage one but not sure if I did it right? I re-read that chapter several times but I'm still confused...Do I just do Workout A, workout 1 the first day (2 reps of squats, 2 reps of push ups and rows each, 2 reps of steps and jacks)? I was done in about 30 minutes (including the "warm up") and it just didn't seem like I did enough? I will say that my arms are a little sore today, but not horrible. Any help is appreciated!! I'm more of a show me person than read and learn!

it sounds like you did it right to me. remember to push yourself with the weights. the first phase is short time-wise.

There is a group on here that you might like to join of others doing this workout.
The workout schedule can sound a little confusing at 1st.
You alternate between workouts A & B, 8 times each for a total of 16 workouts(not including special).
So a schedule could look like this if you do 3 times a week:
    Mon A1
    Wed B1
    Fri A2
    Mon B2
    Wed A3
    Fri B3
    etc
And yes it only takes about 30 min to get through the stage 1 workouts.

Thanks so much for the replies! Glad to hear that I'm doing it right. I'm also noticing as the day goes on that my arms and thighs are getting more sore!

Yeah don't think that just because you aren't sore it doesn't work. It is common for DOMS: delayed onset of muscle soreness. Also you are just starting out so you are getting to know how much weight is right for you. It can take a few times to figure that out. I think it gets better in the stage as reps decrease but weight increases. :)
