I have been battling high Triglycerides my whole life and have always been told it was heridity, which could be true but after the doctor prescribed my 3 rd medicine to counter act it I decided enough is enough. He suggested a 1600 calorie a day diet and that I should monitor everything I am eating, so I googled and found this site. I have only been using it for two days but it is awesome and I think it is really going to help me take control of what I am eating and to make better choices. I want to lose 20 pounds before my next doctors appointment in October and I am going to do it. My biggest problem has been not eating breakfast and sometimes lunch and then eating and picking all night to make up for it. The site is so cool you can find everything imaginable on it and it has everything broke down for you.
Day 1 I was at about 1500 calories consumed plus my exercise burned another 400 of those, how cool is that. I was amazed it even has stats for mowing the lawn.
I am way excited to see where this new chapter is going to take me, hopefully it will allow me to get off some of these medicines.

I recently had some bloodwork that showed elevated triglycerides levels. Can I ask what type of issues you've had? I am glad you found this site. I think it has been very helpful for me. Make sure you eat breakfast, that is essential. Are you exercising? Good luck with your weight loss goals.

Read these articles about getting your triglycerides down so you can get off those nasty meds.
I am happy for you that you no longer want to be a slave to the BIG Pharma people.
