if someone were to use all their calories on junk like ice cream and hot dogs and whatnot, but they stayed in the limit of their calorie/sugar/fat intake, would they still lose weight?

Just out of curiosity of course!

  • probably but you don't get much bang for your buck... eating 1500 (or wahtever your alottment) calories in a day of ice cream and hot dogs will leave you very hungry come dinner time w/ no calories left. If it were possible I wouln't be here...

Yea you would be sooo hungry because all your calories would be gone really fast plus junk food doesn't keep you full!

yeah, just like you can lose on a starvation diet, for awhile your body will lose. But you'd lose muscle, not fat, and you wouldn't have any energy at all. It doesn't take much for junk food to eat up all your calorie allotment quickly! The exception to this would be if you ate all your calories at one time, rather than through-out the day, then you'd most likely gain weight even under calories because your body thinks you're starving it and will make fat if it possibly can.

I think she was just asking hypothetically. So the answer is yes, you would still lose
