is doing 15mins crosstrainer 10 mins treadmill and 10 mins on the bike actually gonna do anything or do i need more

Sure it will do something, especially if you are putting in the right intensity. Don't just lallygag the workout, put forth some effort and you are off to a darn good start towards fitness.0

Should try to work in some weight training, you'd be suprised how much you'll get out of it.0

My gym program was set by the instructor and I told him I wanted to increase cardio & start losing weight, so I do 15mins treadmill, 15 mins resistance machines, 15 mins cross trainer, which I do once a week, twice if I can.
But I also started doing an hour at circuits for over 50's (silver circuits) plus an hour walk each week - sometimes more.
The weight has not shifted much but I've lost inches!!
