my story

just wanted to introduce myself as i've been watching the boards but not posting...
i'm not really overweight at all -a UK size 10 which is an american size 6, and i have always weighed between 140-150lbs. however after starting uni and doing lots of drinking, i stepped on the scales one day and found out i was 154lbs (11 stone). this was a turning point for me as i really don't want to be 11 stone - so i decided to try and get back down to 10 stone, or maybe a little under (say 136lbs).
body wise i think i have always been slim, but i'd noticed i was getting a little heavier and i really just want to be toned - sleek and toned. i'll never be stick-thin, i am definitely made with a bum and boobs - have always been slim around the waist but my thighs were definitely getting a bit heavy. and i am on a mission to tone up my arms and legs!
i've been sticking to 1500 calories a day. i'm quite tall, 5ft 7, so for me, the 1200 that MFP calculates for me is way too little and i cannot stand being that hungry. plus i have been exercising between 2-4 times a week at the gym for the past six months (body pump classes, legs bums and abs classes, and lots of cardio on the cross trainer).
anyway, was getting a tiny bit bored of the diet - since starting the low-cal thing i have actually lost about 7lbs... but this has slowed down in the last month or so... i know i could be eating slightly less calories but as i am not really that overweight, and i am excerising hard a few times a week, i can't really manage 1200 a day! BUT today i stepped on the scales and i have now got down to 145lbs! so i have lost 9lbs since the start of the year - and i've definitely toned up a lot, so probably i have lost more fat than that and gained a lot of muscle.
anyway - this is my story - just wanted to introduce myself as i am very very happy i joined this site and i think it's fab!
i am aiming to lose another 5lbs+, slowly - no crash dieting for me... and i want to keep up with my cardio and and weights.
thanks everyone for reading!
