Fruit, yoghurt, soup (home made for low sodium). Chicken soup is the traditional remedy for colds, it's very comforting and nourishing.

You can do some boneless skinless chicken breast-boil them, add some low sodium chicken broth, add some whole wheat pasta (I do frozen egg noodles-but I don't think they are low in calories lol) You can add some carrots, celery, onions, any veggies you want really. If you want it to be a little thicker add some low sodium cream of chicken soup. I always shred the chicken up to after it boils. Hope that helps. Feel better hon!

P.S. Fruits always help when you are sick, give you the antioxidants you need.

When sick, stick to electrolyte rich foods and liquids...chicken soup/broth is good. But the big thing is to still get a balanced diet of carbs, proteins, and fats.

Don't buy into the old "BRAT" remedy treatment (BRAT=bananas, rice, applesauce, toast)...these are "easy" to digest foods that were recommended when someone can't eat much due to being sick but these foods are NOT balanced.

Down some whole milk with some extra liquid fats and carbs if you are having trouble simply downing food. Just get the macros fairly balanced at the end of the day. Oddly enough, chicken soup is pretty balanced in macros
