Angel Lush w/ Pineapple Desert
I found this in a magazine and made it tonight. Wow, it was good! Prep time was 15 minutes.
1 Pkg (4 serving size) Vanilla Instant Pudding
1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
1 cup thawed whipped topping *could use lite or fat-free
1 prepared angel food cake
1 cup fresh mixed seasonal berries *I used frozen and just thawed
MIX dry pudding mix and pineapple in medium bowl. Gently stir in whipped topping.
CUT cake horizontally into 3 layers. Place bottom cake layer on serving plate; top with 1/3 pudding mixture. Repeat layers 2 times.
REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour. Top with berries just before serving. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
I haven't figured out the calories yet. Will post when I do

How many servings do you think this has?0
-
The serving size is 10. Sorry, forgot to write that.0

By my calculations, with 10 servings, using regular pudding mix and regular whipped cream, this would be about 215 calories per serving. If you cut it into 12 servings, it would be about 180 cal per serving. If you did fat free/sugar free thing would be less. Sounds like a good treat - maybe dessert for Easter!!
Also - on the Jello website they had this recipe with the fat free/sugar free pudding and the lite whipped topping at, I think, about 140 calories/serving with 10 servings. - k0 -
This sounds so good.
I've been wanting to make angel food cake.
Thanks SN! (no soup for you!.. sorry, Seinfeld episode)
