Salmon Chophouse Salad:
Mixed garden greens,
spinach, candied pecans, dried cranberries, fresh berries,
pears and maytag bleu cheese crumbles with a light balsamic
vinaigrette
Trying to plan out lunch, it's not even for a week.

it really depends on the quantities. are you adding a 1/2 cup of pecans? a 1/4 cup of cheese? 1/2 cup of cranberries? it could be a little. it could be a LOT.0

It probably is a lot. I am not making it. I am planning for a lunch out.
What I really want to order is the prime rib philly french dip. The salad looks to be the least calories on the menu.0 -
is it this menu? http://www.gamblingcowboy.com/pdf/breakfast_lunch.pdf
i'd maybe do the shrimp cocktail and a garden salad with dressing on the side.
maybe the soup and garden salad assuming the soup isn't a cream base or beans and pork.
or the tacos with a garden salad. steak tacos with onion & cilantro are about 200 calories each.0 -
I was looking at the street tacos as well.
It is my birthday lunch so I wanted something a little nicer than soup and salad, but then again I dont want to feel like I blow everything on a lunch.
Thank you for your help. I might get the salmon salad without the cheese and pecans. Or the tacos.0 -

I may never eat again0 -
you could always ask for the pecans, cranberries, cheese, and salad dressing on the side.. that will make it easier for you to guesstimate how much is in the salad.0

When I eat out at restaurants that don't have nutrition info, I simply order two of everything and take the extra home to burn in my bomb calorimeter.
Problem solved!0 -
Wow! That's crazy for a salad. I bet the cheese and candied pecans are a huge chunk of that. Candied anything is usually a bad sign.0

I recently had a very similar salad from o'charley's with chicken instead of fish. It was around 1000. Heartbreaking. Then came home and nearly recreated it at around 350. I've eaten one the last two days. My new favorite salad.0

That is what I hate! I know I could make that at home for way less calories and it would probably be as good.0
