Anyone want to share their tips on motivation?
Starting the day with a good healthy breakfast always seems to put me on the right path in terms of eating well.
Just putting on my gym clothes and stepping outside, that gets me going if I'm feeling lazy.
An early night is very important and helps me stay on track rather than when
I'm tired - I can't resist bad food and have no energy to exercise
I also love listening to motivating audios. Always trying different thing. I find that Cut The Fat Podcast is definitely the best around. Free, fun, informative, highly recommended.

I think of where I wanna be in the future and that helps. And even though I'm not engaged yet, I want to never wear a plus sized wedding dress as I hate how most of them look. They simply don't make wedding dresses that look good for plus sized brides, so I wanna be thin so I don't have that problem. I also wouldn't want my future children to see that their mommy was fat, I want to be a good role model health-wise for them too.0

That's a real good one about the future. Keeping in good health is so important to set the standards for your loved ones and children. There are so many reasons I think it's good to always remind ourselves of them. Food is abundant, positive thinking less so!

Every night after I say my prayers, I close my eyes and picture myself thin - with awesome clothes on ... (lol!). I picture myself working out or wearing a bathing suit. For that few minutes, the only thing I think about is ME.
It really helps keep me on track!0 -
A few weeks ago I went hiking with my family. All I can remember was the heavy breathing and pain in my legs on the way back up. Everytime I think I cannot overcome a craving or want to quit the gym I concentrate on that one moment and think to myself....NEVER AGAIN!
I have also been alternating episodes of Heavy and Biggest Loser on Netflix. These shows give me a visual of not just the struggle (that I am sure we all can relate too), but also the accomplishments obtained just by eating better and excercise.0 -
One of the best ways I know to start a day charged and full of positive mojo is to get a great night's sleep. It does absolute wonders for my outlook on life in general and I find often when my motivation is low, my sleep tank is near empty. Goofy I know, but it works for me. That and a kick a** song by a group called NoMeansNo - "Defeat Not Victory." It is a great song about being beaten down and kicked in the face and not letting it defeat you. Sounds pessimistic from the title, but swear, it is a great and very positive song. Got any good music that motivates you??0

There are a lot of things that motivate me. First of all being healthy motivates me. That is what I want to be and it a reminder of why I am doing this. Fitness models motivate me. I want to have that kind of physique one day. I'm determined! It's one of the biggest motivators. I have a wall that I have some hung up clothes on that motivate me for when I get down to a certain size. And probably one of the biggest things that keep me going is the people that reject me for the way I look. I know that probably sounds like crap but it is the people that don't give me a chance because I am fat that make me push myself harder. I have a lot of those people in my life and it makes me push myself so much harder at the gym. One day I want to be able to say "Screw you because you never gave me a chance. Look at me now! Too bad though, it was your unfortunate loss and my wonderful gain!"0

What motivates me is all the times in the past 3 years (since I had a baby) that I have tried to get fit and failed. Last month after my most recent failure I just hit a wall and said thats it no more excuses.
I joined MFP and bought 3 workout videos that I get up and do before my daughter wakes up for the day. Now I feel like I am starting to get on a bit of a roll. Above all, I DONT want to fail again because Ive already worked too hard at starting up!0 -
What motivates me is my health!
What gets me going every day is that first thing in the morning I get up and walk 2 miles right away (to Leslie Sansone walking DVD). That really gets me going and ready for the rest of my day! Which includes more exercise later in the day0
