Friends,
Do you think tennis would be good exercise for a 69 year old man?
My walking each morning with doggie doesn't seem to help losing weight.

Kindest regards,
Palo

tennis is fine for exercise, but remember, it's more about nutrition than exercise. By that I mean, you can exercise all day, but if you eat too much and eat unhealthy, it's not going to matter.
  • I have played competitive tennis my whole life and it is a great exercise for anyone at any age. It works every muscle in your body while giving you a lean, strong look versus muscles. My only advice though is to make sure to STRETCH no matter what your doing. I didn't stretch before a recreational game with friends and it cost me my ankle, my tennis scholarships, and I just had to have surgery to rebuild the ligaments in my ankle.

Have you thought about water exercises? Our local pool offeres them. Very low impact.
