Try on a pair of jeans that you wanna wear but can't. For example, I bought a $200.00 size 6 pair of jeans last year and they're my top motivator.

    Good luck!
  • It's obvious you know how to do this successfully as evidence of your January weight loss. So a big round of applause for you!

Now it's time to decide how badly you really want to continue on with the journey. Make a commitment to yourself and find an accountability partner to help you through the tough spots.

Faithfully enter ALL your food and exercise.

Sometimes if I look to far forward it overwhelms me so I take it a day at a time. When I wake up I make the commitment for that day only. I can usually survive a day of anything, but sometimes contemplating a week of something is too much.

Good luck! You CAN do this!!

When I've lost motivation, will power, self control, and anything else that people say they need to keep going, then I live by this little saying--DO IT ANYWAY!! I personally put way less trust in these other things and more trust in knowing that behavior modification will get me through. I've been at this consistently for about 6 weeks now, so it's time to start "slipping" a little here and there--one cookie, one piece of fudge, no work out, no veggies at a meal--when I start seeing those behaviors, I know I'm in trouble and need to pay more attention. This week I suspect I went over on intake and did not expend enough energy to use it up. I was going to skip the entries but I think I'll go back and enter as much as I can remember, so I can put that behind me, and begin again today being diligent.

I was in the same boat until yesterday when I needed to go out and buy clothes. I will am determined to not be the same size as last year when I put on my first pair of shorts and I threw out my swimsuit from last year so I have no choice but to fit into a new one that is a size smaller! Up and at it first thing this am!

I have had a lot of moments where my motivation has flown out the window but then I think about having to buy ill fitting clothes in the big girls section or one more giant granny bra (no offense to any grandmas out there) and that gets me up off my butt.

YOu can do this, you need to find somethig that motivates you, whether its a picture of you before you gained weight or a new outfit or a sexy nightie you have to find something that works for you. :flowerforyou:
