New to MFP

Hi Everyone,
I am new here and thought I would introduce myself. I am currently working on a goal to lose about 100 pounds or to get to my goal size, whichever one comes first. I have already lost 25 pounds but it’s been struggle and has had a lot of start and stops. I have had a lot of losing/gaining the same 10 pounds over and over again. I joined here with the hope that counting calories would make me more aware of what I am eating and keep me on the path towards my goal. The fact is counting calories is one of my least things to do but I know it works.
I have tried other calorie counting sites and never lasted more than a week or two but I thought I would give MFP a shot. So far I really like it and think it’s very easy to use. So much better than the other ones I have tried. It is also more realistic in how many calories I should have for a slow but steady weight loss. Along with counting my calories I have a goal of working out 4 to 5 times a week. Next month I will be upping it to 5 to 6.
One thing that is keeping me motivated is next spring/summer I want to be to do all those 5k-10ks that are popping up in the cities. That Tough Mudder is NOT for me but the Zombie run and some of the others sound super fun.
I look forward to meeting some folks here and building a good supportive network.
Thanks
