I have always been described as the chubby one- sister, cousin, friend. And after awhile I have just resorted to this. I was 140 in my 20's, but now 37 I have managed to add 52lbs to my body!
I used the excuse I had a baby
that was 4 years ago!!!

Today I took my little girl for her annual checkup and was told by the dr she is in the 97 percentile for weight --- I will not let her become known as the chubby one!
Everything changes today!!
Thank you for this site and I hope find the motivation to really make this happen!

this is the place to be! i wish i had known about it years ago...Good Luck, I know you'll have success here. I've started June 8th....I've lost 17lbs and it helped me quit smoking, as you see 36 days! This site was the key for my health turn around, I hope it has the same affect for you!:flowerforyou:
  • There always is some key turning point and it looks like you've come to it. I just had a baby on June 11 and although I only gained 18lbs, I couldn't believe what my starting weight was. I had not even looked at the scale for about 3 years and by ignoring it, I gained about 20lbs. It was a wake up call. I was determined once I had the baby and at least some of the weight came off I wasn't going to stop. It's now 2 months since my baby was born and I've lost all the 18lb and an additonal 10lbs.! This site has been very helpful. I had NO idea how many calories I was putting into my body everyday. Now I do, and it's made a world of difference. I know what you mean about being the chubby one. I've been overweight my whole life and when I had kids that was one thing I wasn't going to let happen. I didn't want them being teased about their weight. So you can do it! Stick with it. It will all be worth it.
