What's better? Short and intense or longer and less intense

Curious. I am quite out of shape right now and have just started them ten minute trainer. I find the workouts quite challenging but am trying to do 2 a day.

I have been splitting them up - one in the morning and one at night, rather than 20 minutes back to back. I start the second time fresh and full of energy that way. Wondering if I might be better off to put the 20 minutes together and prolong the session even if I can't put as much into the last half.

I honestly think that you are doing the right thing for you now by splitting them up. Once you have the endurance, go ahead and do 2 back to back. Split them for a couple of weeks and then do two together. You don't want to hurt yourself by starting off too strong. Your body will tell you when you're ready! Good luck :-)
  • Thanks :o) I figured two bursts of real energy would be better, but I wonder for weight loss if prolonging the sessions might be more effective for fat burning. Two weeks was the plan to try to do two together!
