Peanut "pieces"??

Okay, so I've been eating mixed nuts as a snack, and the nutrition information says that about 32 pieces is a serving. However, some of the peanuts are in half.... Should I count each half as a piece, or put two together to make a full peanut and count that as a piece?
I know it's kind-of a stupid question, but it's really been bugging me.

I don't think you should worry too much about it. You won't always get an accurate amount of food in packaging anyway, so even if you ate the whole bag it's going to be a few calories higher or lower than it says.0

I know it doesn't matter. It's just one of those questions that keeps popping up in my head and won't go away... It's starting to drive me crazy!
What would you count as a piece?0 -
Ive wondered this about chips. If I eat two half chips, I count it as one.0

Two halves are counted as one piece.0

a kitchen scale will really lead to results on the bathroom scale0 -
The only way to be sure is to buy a scale. 'pieces' is too random. Though, realistically, an extra half a peanut or 2 won't wreck your calories count for the day.0

I would weigh it. Kitchen scales aren't very expensive and they are awesome.0

I don't overthink it, it all balances out in the end... and besides, those are "bonus peices"0

Something that is a uniform size like chips is easy, two halves equal a whole. In something like mixed nuts, 32 pcs is an average. Different types of nuts are different sizes. Thirty-two cashews is higher in calories than 32 peanuts. So the calorie level is based on the "average" mix. In that case, I'd weigh it if you can.0

Weigh it.
Furthermore, two halves equal a whole. But I'd still weigh it.0 -

This. I really don't think it's a big enough deal that it actually made a difference for mixed nut pieces. I count mine the way I think would actually be whole pieces. It hasn't affected my weight loss.0 -
Thanks guys! I should invest in a scale... too bad my counter space is one square foot... now my pressing question will be how can I rearrange cabinets to store a scale....0
